Birth and Rebirth – Privileges of a Child of God

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This is the most frequently used scripture in our Christian society. John 3:16. By the time you’re 18 years old, you’ve already heard this more than 50 times. However, does it hold any meaning to you? Do you honestly believe these words? Jesus came into this world to set the captive free, and all you have to do is simply BELIEVE – wow.

This is why I believe Atheists find us to be so unbelievable. Because we believe in a God who is born into this world to die, so we may be reborn to live in another world. There’s a lot of death and birth going on. It may sound absolutely ridiculous to an average human being who has never experienced God, never truly BELIEVED in Him and His Word. But it’s absolutely true.

Look around you. Everything will have a birth and a death. Even inanimate objects. My laptop was created by COMPAQ (some 20 years ago, yes I have a dino) at the hands of some workers and techno-enthusiasts who can probably string up a conversation on memory cards and processing units better than anyone. Surprisingly, its death hasn’t occurred yet but it’s slowly dying. Like my laptop, we have a Creator, a birth, and an inevitable death; but when we add redemption and salvation we have a re-birth and a face-to-face reunion with our Creator. Isn’t that something unique? And like those techno-enthusiasts who created my laptop, Our Creator is very enthusiastic about and infinitely loves His Creations.

John 3:16 is quite an example illustrating God’s love for us. He loved us so much that He allowed His Son, free of sin, to be crucified (proven to be the most painful way to die) for us sinners so that we may live with Him in eternity. Romans 5:8 also explicates this “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

We cannot fathom God’s unbounded love for us. How immense it is! Why does He love us so much; while we sin repeatedly, He forgives us repeatedly. While I was at a Christian retreat/workshop meetings during Easter break the Pastor shared this video illustrating the Father’s Love.

Once you believe an accept Jesus as the Son of God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, you will inherit His Kingdom. You will become part of the family! Nothing formed against you shall prosper, no weapon, no adversity, NOTHING can ever hinder you from the purpose God has for you! You are chosen, you are wonderfully made and made with a purpose, you are loved by a God who can move mountains all for you! John 14:13-14 says “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask for anything in my name, and I will do it!” Those words came from the One and Only Jesus Christ.

If you believe these words and want to have everlasting life; if you want to experience personally the Love God has for you then please pray these words. You don’t have to be perfect or sinless to come to God for the Bible says surely no one is righteous but Our God.

Father, I am your child. I am your creation. All these years I haven’t lived as if I am, I was not devoting my life to You as I should have. I am deeply sorry. I repent of my sins; I know now that You will no longer hold them against me and even forget them. Thank you, Lord. Thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that He was born of a virgin Mary into this world so that we all may be reconciled with You. I accept Your invitation, I accept my place in Your Kingdom. Please, God, come into my heart and guide me, change me daily, renew my mind and cancel any attacks from the enemy who wishes nothing but unrighteousness. I am now Your child! I am a Child of the Most High! Thank You! Amen.

Amen, and welcome to the family! You may now add “-Christ” to your last name, as you have now become apart of the Kingdom of God! See you later, on Earth or in Heaven. 😉
